This is one I've been working on. What do you think?

Like the fast guitar. Nice dramatic kind of start. Gives me a Who vibe. Nice harmonies layered in. Great effect. Feels like just the start of a song. Leaves me wanting more of it. Take that big intro to a big lift right into a big song. Has that iconic rock kind of feel to it for me. I want more!! (which is a good thing)

Hope that helps.

You have a good start on this production. The 1.20 intro is a little long for a intro. It is said the first 10 seconds of a song will grab you or spit you out, this one grab's you. The attack on the strings is a little strong compared to the vocals. Not sure if you should use a limiter or soft compression on the guitar...."it really peaks out"

Great start....thanks for sharing and looking forward to a end production.

Thanks! I've been trying to listen to some Who songs as mentioned above by @Scotto. Anyone have any recommendations? Or anything else that people think this vibes with?

That syncopated guitar gets me a little like the keyboard build in Won't get fooled again but it is broader. A part in and of itself. It's own idea. I'm a little off my rocker so cool if you don't hear it. Such a cool riff.

This is probably the best take I've done of this yet I think:

Good tune man! Definitely "The Who" vibe. I can't really comment on any technical stuff, I'll leave that to the one's who have the ear for it, but as an average listener, I liked it. Nice work

The sound is cool... and I think this would make awesome parts of songs.  For me... I feel like I need a release at some point listening to it.  It is the kind of strumming pattern that builds tension and after while I'm like "ok, let it go already"... heh.

Have a listen to the release @ the ~43 second mark in pinball wizard, for example.... since someone else mentioned the who.

This is REALLY rough but the driving guitar rhythm on this is what I'm liking about it. A bit more subdued than previous versions.

Here are the lyrics again:

Been waiting for you

What can we do

To find a way

And I made up my mind

It's our time

Looking up

Falling down

A moon shown through

They made way for you

Made way for you

This is a very good idea that I would love to see get developed into a full song. I love the guitar part, as has already been mentioned very Who-influenced, yet original sounding at the same time.

As it stands, the part is just an ostinato (repeating rhythm) at this point, repeating constantly without building or going anywhere. You're compensating for the fact that it's just an ostinato by building the melody somewhat, but I'm under the impression that you feel that this can easily become more than what you currently have it at.

As mentioned by @Triffid, I would like to see this repeated guitar part go into a B-section (pre-chorus or a chorus or whatever) the given example of "Pinball Wizard" I think is a good reference point to show the potential for where this guitar part/verse can go as far as writing/developing a b-section or a c-section (such as a bridge) for the song.

I look forward to hearing what you do with this. There is a lot of potential with this.

@satincross Thank you so much for your feedback!!! This is one I've had for a bit now and also have other parts I want to add in but can never quite find a solid way to tie everything together. I'll try and work something up to post on here for more feedback.

Cheers!
