Invisibility

Recommended Posts

Sometimes I wish to sign in as invisible, so I check that option.

But when I look at the list of Who's Online it shows my name.

What can this mean? Am I invisible or not?

Yes, you are invisible.

Well, I can see you if I look really hard, but members can't see that you are online. You can see yourself, though.

Log into your account user name at the site let's say via Google Chrome and simultaneously bring up the website as a guest through Explorer or Firefox.  You will notice (when viewing who's logged on at the site via Firefox or Explorer) that you're logged in anonymously (invisible).  You'll be viewing your logged in account that you came in on through the other browsers/search engines. This should satisfy any lingering doubt.  Donna asked a simlilar question in topic (Muse Upgrade Almost Complete).  Check it out.

I like not being able to see myself.

El OM - what if it's a trick?

   Then just pretend your user name is not visible to you on the screen.

Correct. Invisibility is simply a state of mind and pretending can be quite effective. After all, you may not even be real. How can you tell? (And don't give me any of that, "Posito, ergo sum" spiel).

But I really CAN'T see you unless I'm you (or me). Meaning other people can't see you. Something like Harvey - except you leave traces ...
