This Girls Love Is Not For Sale

Hi Guys Just wondered what your thoughts would be on this one? Story should be obvious I hope and would appreciate any feed back, I have a couple of reservations but I will hopefully get your feed back and see if they are in the same area! I have been trying to put guitar to it but I am not a muscian and I can't play that well so no joy on that yet! Thanks for the read and any comments. Cheers Mr D This Girls Love is Not For Sale © Mr Distraction All rights reserved. V Look at you in your fancy suit Your fancy car parked outside Buying all the loose girls drinks Just to keep them by your side V I know you from way back when You didn’t have money to burn My answer is still the same When will you, will you learn PC I have told you C This girl’s love is not for sale Not to you or anyone else This girl’s love is not for sale Not for sale at any price I’m not for sale V I know how you make your money From the misery of the innocents Wrecking lives with your poison To you it’s of no consequence V Time to go now the bar is closed No thanks I don’t need a ride Take your pick of the girls You’ve been buying them all night PC I have told you C This girl’s love is not for sale Not to you or anyone else This girl’s love is not for sale Not for sale at any price I’m not for sale B I would never go with a man like you You only have one obsession I’ll never be your possession PC I have told you Chorus

  3. Here's is a project that I wrote and recorded about 10 years ago that I revived and re-recorded to give fresh, updated sound and to make a few lyric changes in. I know I've not been very active on the forum lately being busy with other projects but I hope you would hold that against me and give it a listen to and let me know you think. Take care, Moptop Straighter Road Words and music Dominick B. Giarraputo Copyright © 2009 V1 It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was still at home Surrounded by my family and my friends But then I heard a distant call one I knew I should ignore I turned my back and headed down this road Chorus Maybe there’s a straighter road that I should be traveling But there are no signs to show me the way Maybe there’s a better life that I should be living Then maybe I can fine my way back home V2 Many times I’ve made that vow To end my wandering ways And get back home to the one’s I love But then I hear that call again Much stronger than before I pack my bags and off I go again Bridge I should have listened long ago When I was told I could come back home But stubborn me just wouldn’t believe The road I was taking was wrong. V3 This road has all but ruined me I’m not the guy I used to be A young man in the prime of his days Cause now I’m gray and getting’ old With no one here to call my own I’m guess’n that’s the price I had to pay Chorus Maybe there’s a straighter road that I should be traveling But there are no signs to show me the way Maybe there’s a better life that I should be living Then maybe I can fine my way back home Chorus There’s got to be straighter road that I could be traveling But there are no signs to show me the way There’s got to be a better life that I could be living Then maybe I can fine my way back home Then maybe I can fine my way back home Then maybe I can fine my way back home
  4. Hello all, this is the final version of our song "Waiting for my life to kick in" that Patty wrote the lyrics for and I worked up the music track. This song went through several versions and styles before we all agreed that this one was the best and are very please with the result. As always, Sumi did a wonderful job on her vocal performance and Patty's word smithing was top notch!!!! I was honored to work with such a talented vocalist and gifted lyricist on this project. So take a listen and let us know what you think. Thanks, Dominick V1 Feels like riding a merry-go-round Spinning and going nowhere Wanna step off, start livin’ my life The answers are in the air V2 Packed and ready, I wanna take off But here I am, standing by My life in limbo, nothing feels right How much more can I try? Chorus: Come on, life! Let me know Where, exactly, do I want to go? Wanna get started, my patience is thin I’m waiting for life to kick in Instr. V3 Tired of living a life that’s not mine Searching for what I believe Trying on choices to see how they fit Till the right one tugs at my sleeve Chorus: Come on, life! Let me know Where, exactly, do I want to go? Wanna get started, my patience is thin I’m waiting for life to kick in Bridge: When will I find my passion? What will set me free? Runnin’ in place while I’m waiting For a life that’s truly me My story has yet to begin Waiting for my life to kick in Waiting for my life to kick in

    Memories

I’ve been working on this for a few days; so far I have the first verse, the prechorus, and a vague notion of the chorus V1 Memories fade into the sun I wonder what happens when they’re gone But at the moment It seems Something has begun I’ll stay here with you For as long as you want Prechorus My memories of you will never fade You found me broken-hearted and you made me love again Chorus Now I’m free Free Free from the memories that haunted me Free Free When I’m with you I am free WANT FEEDBACK ON Should I end it there or make more verses? Should it be, in the first verse, I’ll stay here with you for... “As long as you want,” “As long as I want,” or “As long as we want?” Should I call it Memories or Free? Anything else you want to mention Thank you in advance for helping me, this is my first post!
