  1. Thanks to both reviewers... well, you even had a listen to Event, thanks for evaluation, but what is a "kantelabra-sort-of"? Is that about guitar, piano or the mix as a whole?
  2. A Happy New Year! Well, thought that tune could be good for the night dance cheek to cheek under candles and a glass of Champagne :)/>
  3. Sorry, forgot to add a link to previous electronic version Last Day Of Pompeii http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=52591&mediaID=455977 and new one is some edited and entitled Judgement Day
  4. Not that bad. There's nothing objectively bad but the snare could use a bit of reverb to make it sound a bit more organic. It was very catchy i think. The sound was a bit flat, but i'm used to multitracking the crap of my mixes. So it could just be me. But the mix could perhaps use a little extra here and there. But your choices are your own. Nice track! MagVesHa Thanks for your review, yes, I think laiering and double-tracking could improve the whole sound, but as I mentioned, I stumbled on a mixing, and then decided to leave it as it is
  5. I made a remix of my tune that previously was an electronic based sound, now there are only orchestral instruments there, had big troubles with mixing, still, think it deserves a review:
  6. Hi there, I'd love to add some notes here... first, old fashioned ways of songwriting still work (and will work further), but now in XXI century when, seems, everybody has own home studio, things are changed drastically! Well, about your tracks, they sound mostly as unfinished, there are no even top lines there... in this case it's difficult to find somebody who'd love to do some input in your songs. So, you should learn and improve your production skills, cuz as I mentioned above, home studios are everywhere. Make full length tracks that have intro, verse/chorusx2 plus bridge and outro, and this is a way where all the hip hop and R&B work already no less than 20 years... and more, read this article: The Song Machine this is a must read for every songwriter, just a quote from there: “…In 2009, both Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson had hits (Beyoncé’s “Halo,” which charted in April, and Clarkson’s “Already Gone,” which charted in August) that were created from the same track, by Ryan Tedder.” http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/03/26/120326fa_fact_seabrook the same could be done in any genre, even in rock and metal, for example this is my track, and it has everything I mentioned above plus a top line... still, I didn't find a singer/songwriter to make a complete song with it: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12128773 About demo studios that others mentioned here, it's a way better to make your own demos, than to use their expensive services, with exception if you're sure your song is a hit (but who knows it in front? Nobody!) if you saved money on their just 2 demos, then you can build your own studio with all the necessary gear and software, if you're still learning production basics, then just hire an engineer to make your demos sound appropriate. PS. Things I mentioned here are obvious now in era we all live
