    The New Muse

Now THAT is a delicious gesture! YUM!!! (Gluten free, sugar free, and dairy free please..... otherwise I'll have to use it as a doorstop - but a delicious doorstop nonetheless!) LOLOL

    The New Muse

Oh goodness! No! I wasn't going to reprint to post. I just want them for my songwriter notebook - there were a few I found particularly educational. It will be nice to have it around to reference for sure. It's good to be back - even though still a bit sporadic. It is the nature of my life right now. Trying not to resist. LOL ~Bubbsy

    The New Muse

Alistair, So glad you've got a handle on this! I will chime in and say muut is super easy to use and format - but if you have the ability to keep what's here - FANTASTIC! There are some things you could look to tweak later - but I agree the foundational issue needs to be addressed first. YOU ROCK! I know I haven't been around in eons - but I'm soon to become and empty nester and was really relishing the thought of diving back in here! Creative release has been very hard to come by the last few years and I'm BURSTING AT THE SEAMS to let it all out! Come summer.... I'll be so very ready! Please, let me know if there is anything I can help with. I've already been collecting and saving some of the articles on the main site - and have been saving contest results and muse memorabilia stuff as well. If there is no nee dto do that - just let me know. MUAH! ~bubbsy
  6. Thank you, Tom! It has been a worthwhile journey.... The Muse still feels like coming home. Hugs to you and yours. <3 Thanks, Kuya! I'm forming a Book Blitz team on FB this morning.... going to use the ideas you shared and see what it generates. It certainly is getting lots of shares already... so who knows how far it will go with a few more lending a hand! Thanks again for the awesome review. She is still chuffed about that!
  7. Tammy, I know you are on it already! You know the struggle.... I feel like I have been living the condensed version for many reasons. Holy cow! Love this! oxe57, I'm right with you on the healing aspects of creativity and creative release. Her self-expression through both the move, the diagnosis, and navigating her senior year has been nothing short of amazing! Peace, indeed friend! Oh wow! I can not wait to have Catlaina read this! She LOVES libraries and is hoping to work in a library someday - so she will be on that idea for sure! Also the Dr. Phil idea is brilliant. She is a huge fan of his. The girl is obsessed! He is definitely one of her specials interests.... did a portrait of him and sent it to him with a letter already MONTHS AGO - even before the book was on her radar. So, that is going to be easy peasy! Will update for sure.
  8. Thanks, Mike B! The journey has been perfect for her!
  9. Thank you, Donna! It is entirely delightful.... and I'm not biased at all! Her English teacher was one of her mentors and commented that he had very little to offer in the way of revisions and editing - he said that as he was reading it he already thought it was such a polished, professional piece. Nice, eh? She did like 10 revisions on her own because she is a bit of a perfectionist. LOL Don't know where she get that from...
  10. Hi there! Haven't been around for a good long while but I still have a soft spot for many Muse friends.... so I just have to share this here! My youngest daughter, Catlaina, was diagnosed with autism in the spring of this year. It is mild but also very validating for her. Some traits were there but totally in line with her quirky nature, so being the ever supportive mom, we just found what would work for her. Straight A student throughout school and involved in marching band, concert band, and civil rights team.... she just chugged along beautifully until her world fell apart about a year ago. When I moved Maine (my childhood home) August 2014, she was to join me in December and finish out her school year here.... and while that did eventually happen, it rocked her severely in the weeks right after I left. It has been a long and rocky road back to balance for her - but she is thriving in a very big way! As part of her Senior Capstone Project at school she decided to write a book and self-publish it. It's not technically due until the end of January, but once her fire has been lit, there's no stopping her! She doesn't expect to make a whole lot of money here.... she's mostly just wanting to share her passion, vision and voice with the world. Her book is targeted for 2nd-4th graders - but she wants to share with parents and teachers as well. She wrote a chapter book a while back that she published when was a high school freshman - but this one is a picture book. Sassy, smart, and accessible, filled with great information in a story format, if you know of anyone who might be interested, please tell them about it! It is available here: https://www.createspace.com/5793572 and here: http://amzn.com/151775853X Just discovered an article a classmate wrote about her.... the photo is a pic from her book! http://youthmovemaine.org/news/little-do-you-know-about-autism/ If you have any congratulations or words of praise for her little creative soul, please do leave them here! I know she will be greatly encouraged and motivated to continue with her writing and illustrating! ~Bubbsy
  11. :D We were both so surprised, but pleasantly so! Ya just never know..... Also pleased as punch that our song is track #1 on the album.... nice placement and hopefully - momentum!
  12. I think Fab meant they tied in the muse challenge with our song ...
  13. Pretty cool stuff indeed! I'm still partial to a 1+1 treatment for the song - but that's just me I'm sure! LMAO They did a great job and Kim and I are pretty cheekily chuffed that Rhythm 4 Boots picked it up. It's a great day to be a songwriter! ~Bubbsy

Okay. So, I already tried to post this once and the internet disconnected right when I hit POST REPLY. Everything was lost. No bells, whistles, or special formatting.
