  1. Thank you guys I was trying to appeal to a woman in her thirties. I also went with an AABAAB Rhyme scheme but am actually changing the chorus so that it will be different
  2. Thank you Brossell The first chorus is like in real time, then the last two are frustrations. I was playing this at about 150 bpm and it works well, about 3 minutes. Thank you for the feedback Phil
  3. Thank you brother. I always value your feedback. Phil
  4. Hi all. It's been a long time since I have posted and I will make an effort to review other lyrics. I am trying to figure out what artist this may fit. Definitely for a woman. Thank you for any feedback Phil Typical Day It's 7 am get out of bed I'd like some time to myself The house is a mess I'll try not to stress Got an hour to leave the house Soon the kids will be up and with any luck They'll take care of themselves But that never happens there's always distractions I'm just kidding myself This is the way a typical day Always seems to start It's coffee to go traffic thats slow Can't find a place to park I need to escape to a quieter place And be pampered like a star I really can't wait to start my day Not having to leave my yard Half past eight I'm running late To a job I really don't like Another PB&J for lunch today I cant wait for quitting time The kids will get fed then it's off to bed Hopefully they'll close their eyes Now it's wine and a bath I'm out of gas Time for me to unwind This is the way I spend my day From morning until dark It's coffee to go traffic thats slow Hunt for a place to park I'm Booking my date to a quieter place To be pampered like a star I really can't wait to start my day Not having to leave my yard Most would agree Women do this with ease Men might last a day They'll get on their knees Beg their wives, please I don't want to live this way This is the way we spend our day From morning until dark It's coffee to go traffic thats slow Hunt for a place to park Go book a date to a quieter place To be pampered like a star We really can't wait to start our day Not having to leave our yard
  5. Thank you Ben I have been trying to find the perfect lyrics to go with it but nothing has come to me yet. Phil
  6. Hello Dave I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. The chord progression is E power chord at the 7th fret, A (5th fret), B (7th) then down to E at the first, then up to F#m then to A. Mostly power chords I hope it helps
  7. Thank you everyone. Congratulations Ron. Well deserved win. I am very humbled to be judged so high by such wonderful writers. Thank you again Phil
  8. Congratulations to the winners and kudos to all of the writers that posted. There are some very cool lyrics and it was hard to define a clear winner. Phil
  9. This is a rough demo. There are some mistakes but I wanted to see if anyone had any crits on the melody Thank you Phil http://soundcloud.com/user7614058/emotions
